Soon, you will be able to create office presentations in minutes with the help of Google Gemini-powered AI feature.

Google has introduced a new feature called Google Vids, which is an AI-powered video creation app designed for work. This feature aims to make life easier for corporate employees and creatives by helping them quickly create presentations and videos for shareholders and bosses. Google Vids is now rolling out as part of the Google Workspace Labs, integrating seamlessly with the everyday Workspace suite used by its users.

Google Vids AI: How it works

Using Gemini in Vids, you can create videos in minutes with text-based prompts. But unlike OpenAI’s Sora, here you can add your own information—images, slides, videos, and more—to create a more personalized video. Plus, you can use the available templates as a reference point to get things done quickly.

Google says Vids also includes a library of stock content from which you can add GIFs, images, stickers, music, and sound effects. Plus, you can easily record yourself, your voice, your screen, or even a combination of these to work more efficiently. When you’re done working on a video, you can export it as an MP4 file or simply create a shareable link to watch on any device. However, if you intend to create a video that lasts more than 10 minutes, you cannot do so, as the tool is limited to creating videos of 10 minutes.

Google Vids: Who is eligible to use it, availability

It’s worth noting that Google has clarified that only users with access to Gemini Alpha and Workspace Labs can “create a video or copy videos shared with them.” However, any user with a Google Account can view or collaborate with the video.

It should be noted that this is a gradual rollout and this feature may not be available to you at this time. However, it will eventually be rolled out to all eligible users.

That being said, this looks like an ideal tool for quickly creating moodboard presentations and pitches, helping not only corporate employees in companies but also creatives pitching to clients.
